SUNY Oswego requires all students to procure and carry a valid identification card issued by Auxiliary Services. There is no charge for the student's first card. The ID card must be presented or surrendered upon request of an SUNY Oswego official, including residence hall staff, University Police, student affairs staff, and students authorized by SUNY Oswego to supervise campus events, activities, and residence halls.
Entry to SUNY Oswego-sponsored events or access to college facilities or services may be predicated, in part, upon presentation of a valid SUNY Oswego ID card. All students using Dining Service meal plans will use their ID card as their meal card. The ID card serves as a students library card and must be presented each time library materials are borrowed. ID cards are also used for access campus services such as Walker Health Center, Fitness Centers, as well as opening e-mail accounts.
Alteration or falsification of data on SUNY Oswego ID card, or creation and/or distribution of falsified ID cards are violations of the Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities and Conduct and may result in disciplinary action taken by SUNY Oswego and/or confiscation of the ID card. It is the responsibility of the student to replace SUNY Oswego ID card if it is confiscated.
It is the student's responsibility to replace the ID card if it is stolen, lost, bent, broken, or worn beyond the point of readability by SUNY Oswego officials and/or readers used by SUNY Oswego. Replacement cards may be obtained at the ID and Dining Office, 503 Culkin Hall, in accordance with posted fees.
