Degree completion

Finish what you started!

Below are some resources and common scenarios for former SUNY Oswego students who want to take the final steps toward completing their degree. Everybody's situation is unique; if you have questions, please contact us (315.312.2235 or registrar@oswego.edu).

Submitting paperwork

Sometimes students complete all of their degree requirements, but forget to file for graduation; sometimes small problems are left lingering; or maybe deciding to drop a minor would make the difference in awarding your degree. Call 315.312.2235 to see if there are simple ways to close the loop and get your degree awarded.

Transfer credit

Did you take your final courses at another campus? Did you remember to send a transcript and transfer those credits in to SUNY Oswego? Call 315.312.2235 to see if your post-Oswego transfer work has been applied and if it fulfilled any remaining requirements.

Readmit

After assessing your situation, you may decide readmission to SUNY Oswego is your best choice for completing any remaining degree requirements.

Other considerations

Here are some resources to get you familiar with Degree Works. SUNY General Education requirements changed recently; be sure to inquire about them if you plan to readmit.

You may have holds that will need to be cleared up. Be sure to ask or select "View Holds" on the Registration tab in myOswego. Holds also display on the Student Profile (Student Records tab), along with other useful information.
