Course Withdrawal vs Course Drop

Spring '22 matriculated students:

Dropping courses is allowed online through Friday, February 11th for full semester courses. To drop a course the student may use the myOswego registration system (oswego.edu/myoswego). The courses removed during this period will not appear on a transcript. It is the responsibility of students to drop those courses they no longer are attending. Students should consult with Student Accounts for information on financial liability.

Course withdrawal begins February 14th and continues through April 1st. Course withdrawal can be requested via myOswego under the registration tab. A withdrawal grade of W will be assigned and appear on a student's transcript. A $20 fee will be added to your semester bill.

Documented course withdrawal begins April 4th and continues through May 6th.  Documented course withdrawals can be requested via myOswego under the registration tab.  Documentation (a health care provider's verification of student illness [physical or psychological] or of major illness of immediate family member; copy of obituary listing relationship of deceased to student; letter from student's employer) must be submitted to the Dean's Office of your major. A Withdrawal grade of W will be assigned and appear on your transcript. A $20 fee will be added to your semester bill.
