Course Withdrawal vs Course Drop

Spring '20 matriculated students:

Dropping courses is allowed online through Friday,February 14 for full semester courses. To drop a course the student may use the myOswego registration system (oswego.edu/myoswego). The courses removed during this period will not appear on a transcript. It is the responsibility of students to drop those courses they no longer are attending. Students should consult with Student Accounts for information on financial liability.

Course withdrawal begins February 15 and continues through April 3. Course withdrawal must be completed on a Course Withdrawal Form and have all required signatures to be accepted at the Registrar's Office. Withdrawal grades of WF, WP or WN will be assigned and appear on a student's transcript. A $20 fee will be added to your semester bill .

Documented course withdrawal begins April 4 and continues through May 8 and must be done on a Documented Late Course Withdrawal Form, have the necessary signatures, have documentation (a health care provider's verification of student illness [physical or psychological] or of major illness of immediate family member; copy of obituary listing relationship of deceased to student; letter from student's employer) submitted to the Dean's Office of your major with the form. Withdrawal grades of WF, WP or WN will be assigned and appear on your transcript. A $20 fee will be added to your semester bill .
