National Cyber Security Awareness Month: Security question end-of-month reminder

As National Cyber Security Month (NCSAM) comes to a close, Campus Technology Services (CTS) would like to remind everyone about updating their account security questions.

CTS is planning to utilize security questions for verification at the Help Desk in the near future. This change will allow the team to more easily and securely verify identities for matters such as password resets.

University to test emergency communications on Nov. 5

SUNY Oswego will conduct a test of its emergency communication systems next week on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, at approximately 11:30 a.m. The timing of the alert is intended to fully test the university’s emergency notification systems during an active time of day and at the beginning of the slate of classes in session.

‘Count Your Blessings’ trivia night to support Blessings in a Backpack

The campus community is invited to put their knowledge to the test and support Oswego County's Blessings in a Backpack for a trivia night from 6:30 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Oswego Elks Lodge, corner of West Fifth and Bridge streets.

Registration is $30 per person, which includes light snacks and a chance to compete for prizes. The evening will also feature a cash bar, 50/50 raffle, silent auction and themed baskets to bid on.
