1861 Giving Challenge is under way

The 1861 Giving Challenge is under way: The timer started at 8 a.m. today and runs until 3:01 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 24.

The challenge has 1,861 minutes to get 861 donors to make a gift to the university. If that goal is met, 1987 graduate Steve Levy of ESPN and ABC Sports will contribute $100,000 to SUNY Oswego.

Financial literacy presentation for students set Oct. 23

The Money Matters program will host Raymond Sykes from Citizens Bank for an informative presentation on financial literacy, including learning how to purchase a car and credit, from 5 to 6 p.m. in 231 Marano Campus Center.

Students are encouraged to take this opportunity to learn valuable insights directly from a financial professional.

Run by the Office of Financial Aid, the Money Matters program is a peer-to-peer program to support student financial literacy.

Voting on the nominees for these seats will be done via Google Forms. Although the number of nominees within each category is low, a vote for these positions still must be held. Please submit your votes by 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 24.
