Citizens Bank to host session for students to learn about budgeting and identify theft

Students are invited to join Citizens Bank and SUNY Oswego's Money Matters program for an informative session on budgeting and identity theft at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13, in 231 Marano Campus Center.

Attendees will learn how to take control of their finances, protect their personal information and start building a secure financial future.

Priority Housing open for students through Dec. 7

Priority Housing, open now through Dec. 7, gives students a stronger lottery position during the Housing Selection Process for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Students can complete the Priority Housing Application and Roommate Matching in the MyHousing Portal by Dec. 7 to receive priority within their class year.

National First-Generation College Celebration today

With approximately 1 out of every 3 SUNY Oswego undergraduates identifying as first-generation college students, the university will recognize these students as part of the National First-Generation College Celebration from noon to 3:30 p.m. in 215 Penfield Library.

The campus community is invited to drop by to mix with students, faculty and staff, helping to recognize these students and their needs. Pizza and popcorn will be provided through a generous grant from Auxiliary Services.

Students: Watch your inboxes for SUNY Basic Needs survey

SUNY Oswego students should have received emails inviting participation in SUNY’s Basic Needs Survey. Since many SUNY students experience difficulty in meeting all of their basic needs, such as having enough food, stable housing, available transportation or sufficient childcare, this survey helps administrators understand those gaps, how they occur and how to best help all students meet their needs.
