SEL to host two trivia events in April

The Department of Student Engagement and Leadership (SEL) will host two trivia events in April.

Disney Dining Hall Trivia, in collaboration with Auxilary Services and Lakeside Dining Hall, will host rounds of Disney-themed with raffle prizes to win throughout the evening and prizes for the winning team. The event will take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, in Lakeside Dining Hall.

To attend this event, participants must have a meal plan, Dining Dollars, guest swipe, cash or credit card.

Open forum April 7 with second candidate for dean of College of Business and Entrepreneurship

Spicy Shakespeare event pairs hot peppers with classic works

Penfield Library seeks participants for a spicy literature event, "Hot Pepper Shakespeare" from 2:30 to 4 p.m. on April 23 in the library's room 215.

The event is geared toward those who have ever wanted to test their spice mettle, read a Shakespeare monologue and have loads of fun, organizers said.

Spring Faculty Research Exchange highlights scholarly work of faculty members

Penfield Library and Faculty Research Council welcome all members of the campus community to their spring Faculty Research Exchange from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, in Penfield Library room 215.

This thought-provoking event will feature two SUNY Oswego faculty members Matthew McLeskey (Criminal Justice) and Scott Furlong (Politics).

McLeskey will discuss the ongoing threat of lead exposure in the era of climate change, while Furlong will discuss federal rulemaking as the most important public policy process.

Three SUNY Oswego students earn national recognition at BEA Awards

Three SUNY Oswego students, Benjamin Goldblatt, a broadcast and digital media major, Michael Lavalette, a broadcast and digital media major; and Quinn Galuski, a broadcast and digital major and cinema and screen studies double major, all earned honors in the 2026 BEA Festival of Media Arts — a national competition showcasing student work in broadcasting, film and digital storytelling.
