Five SUNY Oswego students formed the first cohort of the Hometown University Internship, an initiative that expands traditional internships within the community to additionally embed professional leadership guidance from SUNY Oswego’s Office of Workforce Innovation and External Relations (OWIER) team.
A variety of recreational activities, athletic events, nature programs, tours and more invite the community to the SUNY Oswego campus for the Explore Oswego initiative from Dec. 20, 2025, to Jan. 20, 2026.
During the weeks when Winter Session courses are being held online and most students have left campus, Penfield Library remains open as a beacon of learning, community, and warmth on the SUNY Oswego campus.
The Fall 2025 round of the StudentScholarly and Creative Activities Grant will fund seven proposals totaling nearly $7,000.
These proposals were recommended for funding by members of the Scholarly and Creative Activity Committee and ultimately approved for funding by Provost Scott Furlong.

The Fall 2025 round of the Faculty Scholarly and Creative Activities Grants will fund 10 proposals totaling nearly $28,000.
These proposals were recommended for funding by members of the Scholarly and Creative Activity Committee and ultimately approved for funding by Provost Scott Furlong.

CNY Arts and CenterState CEO will present "Art for All: Engaging New and Diverse Audiences" -- an inspiring and uplifting conversation about the transformative power of the arts in the region -- from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, in the Hewitt Hall screening room (room 27).
A Dec. 18 event at Syracuse’s Everson Museum of Art will honor “The Twilight Zone” creator Rod Serling, one of the most significant creative minds from Central New York. SUNY Oswego computer science faculty member Ryan Zlomek said this annual event is borne of appreciation and connection for Serling’s work.
