Fall research symposium Sept. 12; deadline ahead for printing posters

The Oswego Fall Poster Symposium will take place on Friday, Sept 12, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Shineman Atrium and the corridor connecting it to Park Hall.

The campus community is invited to attend to learn more about scholarly and creative work taking place on our campus.

All faculty and students are welcome to present their scholarly and creative work. Free poster printing will be available until Sept 2.

Advisement Center to host drop-in hours

The Advisement Center, located in 151 Marano Campus Center, welcomes new and returning students for the fall 2025 semester. All students are welcome to visit the Advisement Center for help and support in making class schedule changes or for consultation on courses.

14 Lakers named AHCA All-American Scholars for 2024-25 season

The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) recognized varsity ice hockey players who compiled exceptional results in the classroom during the 2024-25 season with the announcement of the ninth annual "Krampade All-American Scholars," -- which included 14 Lakers.

To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester and have appeared in 40 percent of the team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goaltenders. Schools were also required to be members of the AHCA.

In spring 2025, Penfield Library’s Archives and Special Collections finished digitizing and providing basic metadata for their entire collection of former U.S. President Millard Fillmore’s papers. This marks the culmination of nearly seven years of effort on the part of an evolving team of librarians, staff, and students.

Deadline approaching to file online for May 2026 graduation

Even as a new semester begins, undergraduate students who will be graduating as of May 2026 and who have not yet filed online to graduate should do so as soon as possible.  

Reminder: Panopto, Zoom retention policy running Sept. 19

As a reminder, the retention policy for cloud storage with Panopto and Zoom will be completed Friday, Sept. 19. The policy is run annually on this day. The retention policy will do the following:
