Thanksgiving Break food resources available

This Thanksgiving Break, a variety of food resources will be available for students staying on campus.

On Friday, Nov. 21, the Office of the Dean of Students and Auxiliary Services will host a Fresh Food Giveaway from noon to 2 p.m. in the Marano Campus Center's Laker Landing (the food court).

SEFA's 38th annual Toy Drive aims to make spirits bright for local kids

SUNY Oswego's SEFA (State Employees Federated Appeal) has started its 38th annual Toy Drive, with information, boxes and contacts in buildings across campus through Dec. 9 to help make spirits bright for local children in need.

The Toy Drive asks members of the campus community to consider bringing in an unwrapped toy, which will be distributed by the Oswego County Children’s Fund to kids in need around Oswego County in early December. Look for trees and wreaths around buildings with a little more information on children in the program, and what presents they want.

Late Night Breakfast to return Dec. 5

With the end of the semester approaching, students can look forward to bundling up for a cozy night of festive fun at Winter Wonderland Late Night Breakfast from 8:30 to 11 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, at Cooper Dining Hall.

Attendees can enjoy their favorite comfort foods like chicken and waffles, cinnamon rolls, tater tots, pancakes, eggs and a parfait station— plus a decadent hot cocoa bar to keep them warm.

'Strength in Solidarity' program probes effects of ICE raids in Cato

"Strength in Solidarity" is an interactive panel presentation from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19, led by members of the Rural and Migrant Ministry (RMM) and the Workers’ Center of Central New York. The discussion in 315 Park Hall focuses on the federal ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) raid that occurred in nearby Cato, examining its deep and lasting effects on individuals, families and the broader community.
