'Know Before You Go: GYT' event set April 9

The “Know Before You Go: GYT" event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 9 on the Marano Campus Center concourse is a different Get Yourself Tested (GYT) event from past years.

Instead of holding testing and tabling inside the Dr. Mary Walker Health Center, organizers are bringing this informational event to a more central location to make sexually transmitted infections (STI) education and resources even more accessible to students.

Oswego theatre students earn recognition at Kennedy Center festival

A group of SUNY Oswego theatre students traveled to the annual Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) Region 2 Conference earlier this year. Students were able to present their work to peers, educators and professionals in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Poetry and prose event to feature Linda Loomis, Laura Donnelly

Two members of the SUNY Oswego family, authors Linda Loomis and Laura Donnelly, will read from their work, discuss their writing, and engage with the community in a Q&A session at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, at Oswego Public Library.

Inclusive Access book adoptions due today

Today (March 31) is the last day to submit your Inclusive Access book adoption for the fall 2025 semester.

SUNY Administration requires adherence to a new reporting schedule to ensure Inclusive Access (IA) costs are reflected on students' tuition bills in compliance with the Board of Trustees policy. Meeting this deadline is mandatory for any course or section to be included in the IA program.

‘5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche’ comedic production runs this week

The Blackfriars student honors theatre organization will bring comedy to campus this week for its admission-free production of “5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche,” with 7 p.m. showtimes Thursday, March 27, through Sunday, March 30 in Tyler Hall’s lab theatre.

The 1950s-stylized performance that invites audience participation came about when Blackfriars “realized that all of the theatre performances for this year were extremely heavy and very emotional,” said Elizabeth Mann, who directs the production. 

'What’s Going On?' session will facilitate campus conversations on changing political landscape

The university will host a series of conversations in the near future titled "What’s Going On?: Informal but Informed Conversations to Make Sense of a Rapidly Changing Political Landscape." 

The discussions will be facilitated by Political Science Department Chair Dr. Allison Rank and Director of Counseling Services Lynn Braun, sponsored by the Divisions of Student Affairs and Academic Affairs.

‘Appetizers and Alumni: Grab a Bite with the Board’ scheduled Friday

Nearly a dozen members of the Oswego Alumni Association's Board of Directors will be on campus and available for an informal networking opportunity this Friday, March 28, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the Chu Atrium, Marano Campus Center.

Students and campus community members are invited to pop into this casual gathering to meet several alumni leaders, ask a question about an industry they're interested in pursuing, or simply make new networking connections over complimentary appetizers and refreshments.

ARTSwego announces 2025-26 Artist-in-Residence
