Clarification of Code of Conduct changes

On Wednesday, March 5, students were notified that revisions had been approved by the University Council to the Code of Conduct, found within the Student Handbook.

The revisions to the Code of Conduct expand opportunities and protections for students. This includes greater options for students when appealing disciplinary action and a new alternative resolution option which may be used in lieu of a formal disciplinary process when appropriate.

ASAP talk to explore ‘Navigating Common Legal Hurdles for Students’

The Adult Student Assistance Program (ASAP), designed to help adult learners connect with SUNY Oswego and other students, will virtually discuss "Navigating Common Legal Hurdles for Students" at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 13.

Kristin Shanley, an attorney who offers free legal services through the SUNY Oswego Student Association, will offer an opportunity for students to get their general legal questions answered and discover free resources and support available.

Nominate a student leader/organization for annual Student Leadership Awards

The time has come to recognize the extraordinary contributions of Oswego student leaders and student organizations: The university will host the annual Student Leadership Awards Ceremony on Thursday, April 10, to honor students who have demonstrated exceptional service and leadership throughout the year.

Organizers invite faculty, staff and students to nominate deserving individuals and/or organizations who have made a lasting impact on our campus and the Oswego community. Students are also welcome to self-nominate for these prestigious awards.

Display To Archives submissions deadline approaching

Penfield Library is seeking submissions from faculty and staff for Display To Archives 2024-25 by the March 31 submission deadline.

Display to Archives is Penfield Library's ongoing effort to collect, recognize, exhibit and promote access to the creative and scholarly work of SUNY Oswego's faculty and staff.

BikeShare program accepting applications for no-cost bike rentals

The Office of Sustainability's BikeShare Program is now accepting applications from students, staff and other campus members for those looking for rent bicycles at no cost.

Those interested can fill out an application via this link to be added to the waitlist. Once the form is completed, organizers will email you with a link to schedule a time to pick up your bike as soon as one becomes available.

Faculty and staff invited to drop-in meetings today with President Nwosu

SUNY Oswego President Peter O. Nwosu will host faculty and staff drop-in hours today, Tuesday, March 4, from 11 a.m. to noon in the Marano Campus Center Chu Atrium. 

All faculty and staff are invited to stop by and meet with President Nwosu during these in-person drop-ins, which are planned to be held periodically throughout the semester.
