SUNY Oswego’s Office of the Dean of Students is happy to announce they recently received donations from two Oswego area businesses: Stewart’s Shops and O’Reilly’s Auto Parts.

Stewart’s Shops has graciously donated 25 gift certificates for milk and another 25 certificates for eggs. The certificates will be distributed at Students Helping Oz Peers (SHOP) events on campus. Among other events, SHOP will host an upcoming “Pop-up SHOP” on April 9 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the off-campus student apartment complex Lakeside Commons.

Additionally, the Oswego O’Reilly’s Auto Parts now offers a discount for SUNY Oswego students. Assistant Dean of Students Kimberly Fuqua noticed that a large amount of Oswego’s emergency funding was going towards car repairs for students. Car repair requests were everything from brake replacements, tires, spark plugs and more.

Fuqua connected with O’Reilly’s Auto Parts who offered discounts on most car parts for Oswego’s student body. Discounts for SUNY Oswego students are available at the O’Reilly’s Oswego location only.

To get the discount, students must show their ID when visiting the auto parts store.

To donate to the SHOP or Student Emergency Fund, visit the Student Emergency Fund or SHOP fundraising pages. All donations are welcome and greatly appreciated.
