Ask questions and get help from someone who works in your industry! Peer Assistants are Career Services interns who offer services that include:
- Critiquing students’ résumés & cover letters
- Teaching students how to navigate our online tools for internship and job searching
- Refering students to other department resources and services
- Assisting students with creating and updating their LinkedIn profiles and networking skills

Favorite thing about Oswego: I really love the lake and I love how many extra curricular organizations or groups that are on campus. The faculty and staff go above and beyond to prepare you for the next level of whatever you want to do!

Ahkalia Williams, Career Peer Assistant

Major: Physics
Minor: Health Science
Goals: To work in Oncology, as a medical physicist or radiation oncologist.
Favorite thing about Oswego: My favorite thing about Oswego is the welcoming community. Everyone is so warm and inviting of students which I appreciate, a lot being many hours away from home. I also enjoy the scenery. The lake has beautiful views and unforgettable sunsets. The wildlife is so enchanting with so much to explore. There is so much peace and beauty in this community.
Clubs/Orgs: I am a founding member of the Golden Z Club of SUNY Oswego. I also serve as the club treasurer. I am the Public Relations Chair for Pre-Health Care Club. I am the Vice President of the CSTEP Board and also an Event Manager for Campus Events and Conference Services. I am also a proud member of Eta Sigma Gamma National Health Education Honors Society, Math Club, and Bold Black Beauties.
