Help Desk offers extended hours this weekend

To help ensure a successful start to the semester, the Campus Technology Services (CTS) Help Desk will be holding extended hours for the following days:

Opening Weekend

  • Saturday Jan. 24: noon to 4 p.m.
  • Sunday Jan. 25: noon to 7 p.m.

Reminder on winter weather procedures

With the spring semester beginning and active recent weather, here is a timely reminder for winter weather procedures for the months ahead.

In case of inclement weather that causes all classes for a block of time (usually daytime, evening or both) to move to either remote instruction or cancellation, the best way to ensure you receive notifications is to sign up for or verify your information for the university's NY-Alert system

Director of SUNY Oswego’s Health Services now nationally certified in Lifestyle Medicine

In support of SUNY Oswego’s Strategic Plan Thrive driver, Health Services soft-launched a new appointment type called Healthy Habits in fall 2025, with Director of Health Services Angie Brown achieving national certification in support of this initiative. 

During Healthy Habits visits, students receive screening in all six pillars of Lifestyle Medicine to help them identify their level of readiness for change and identify which area is the most important to them.

University Impact Collection Grant now open

Penfield Library invites the campus to help grow collection materials, as the University Impact Collection Grant is now open for applications.

Grants are awarded to faculty and professional staff each spring for selection of materials supporting professional development, scholarly activity, program/course curriculum needs or student success. Applications by individuals are eligible for grants up to $500, while applications by groups are eligible for grants up to $1,000.
