1:00pm EDT

The University at Albany School of Public Health is hosting a Virtual Master of Public Health Information Session on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at 1pm for students to explore public health and learn how they can advance their career goals by starting their graduate degree as early as the fall 2020 semester

Public health is a field that offers an abundance of job opportunities to suit a variety of interests and skills, whether one is interested in community health, crunching numbers or laboratory research. Public health students come from a range of academic and professional backgrounds including social sciences, biology, chemistry, pre-med, communication, education, computer science, mathematics, social welfare, anthropology, public policy, history, and more.

The MPH provides a strong foundation in primary public health fields and advanced knowledge in a selected area of interest. Concentration options include biomedical sciences, biostatistics, environmental health, epidemiology, health policy and management, and social behavior and community health.

Accredited by the Council on Education of Public Health, the two-year MPH program includes two professional internships that let students directly contribute to the success of public programs to eradicate disease, develop vaccines, reduce infant mortality, ensure food safety, monitor water quality, and more.
