Virtual Session
Note: Please note this is a virtual recruitment session to learn more about Excellence Community Schools and apply for our various different instructional & non-instructional positions.
About Us: Excellence Community Schools(ECS) is a non-profit entity and emerging Charter Management Organization (CMO), which evolved from our flagship school model, the Bronx Charter School for Excellence (BCSE). BCSE opened in 2004 serving students in grades K and 1, and has since received two full-term, unconditional renewals from its authorizer, expanded to a K-8 model, and become one of the highest performing charter schools in the state. ECS embodies the strategies, innovation, and best practices that garnered BCSE national recognition as a 2012 National Blue Ribbon School, and continues to be our driving force in codifying and continually improving upon our existing model.
Our Mission and Vision: Our schools prepare young scholars to compete for admission to and succeed in top public, private, and parochial high schools by cultivating their intellectual, artistic, social, emotional, and ethical development.
We accomplish this by offering a challenging and rigorous academic curriculum, which at the earliest of grades has an eye towards college preparation.
To achieve this, our schools create a supportive and caring environment that at all times has high expectations of all students.
We offer a differentiated, project-based learning environment that seeks to develop high-level analytic and critical thinking skills in all of our students. Our engaging and rigorous approach to educating our scholars is implemented by a collaborative team of teachers.
