They provide the financial tools and support to help the client get to their goals; staying with them over time and evolving their plans as their needs change NORTHWESTERN MUTUAL'S FINANCIAL REPRESENTATIVE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM The Financial Representative Internship provides you with hands on and real-world experience. You will understand the true career path of a Financial Advisor by working in the same capacity that our Advisors do. We believe the best way to learn is by authentic expertise and have designed our internship with that in mind. With our award-winning training and development, interns will gain the skills and industry knowledge necessary to help their own clients achieve their financial goals. Learn how to build lasting client relationships and impact the lives of the clients you work with every day! You will learn by actually doing the career, and working with experienced financial advisors, representatives and leaders from our agency. All of the skills, experience and exposure will help you as you begin to build your own financial services practice as an intern. You will see the true entrepreneurial spirit, dedication, and innovation of the advisors and staff within our company. WE PROVIDE OUR INTERNS WITH: • Sponsorship for your Life, Accident & Health Licenses, with a Future opportunity to obtain—SIE, Series 6 & 63 Licenses • Personal and Professional Training and Development Meetings • Ability to construct your own daily schedule, especially during the semester • Skills to evaluate and implement the best strategy for your client’s financial security • Option to bring any of the Financial Advisors from our agency to join you on any of your clients meetings to meet with clients jointly • Development of interpersonal and networking skills • Individual weekly mentoring and coaching • Leadership opportunities • Opportunities to compete on a national level through various opportunities exclusive to our interns • Potential to continue the internship into the Spring semester and into the Summer WHAT WE LOOK FOR: • *We DO NOT limit our internship by College Major & accept all Majors and areas of study to apply** • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent work authorization • Students must be enrolled as a full-time student in your Junior or Senior Year (2021 or 2022 Grads) • Active involvement in leadership roles and extra curriculars on campus • Hard worker—dedicated to personal and professional success • Self-motivated, and goal driven • Ability to work independently • Desire for client facing and relationship building work • Outgoing, positive and enthusiastic individuals who are very serious about their personal and professional growth If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, enjoy competition, are attracted to the idea of owning your own business, and enjoy communicating and genuine relationship building, this role is worth your consideration! This is a part-time Internship for the Fall Semester beginning mid August, 2020.
