Online Graduate Research Conference slated April 11

April 6, 2023

The online SUNY Graduate Research Conference, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, will feature excellent research spanning SUNY campuses.

The free event via the University at Albany is co-organized by the University Faculty Senate Graduate and Research Committee and the Center for Professional Development to the showcase graduate student research across the system.

In addition to 50+ student posters, the event will feature two panels -- one on Gender Violence, and the other one on Artificial Intelligence for Good.

'Romeo and Juliet' to open April 19 in 'quick, action-packed' production

New student-run cafe in Rich Hall to have grand opening on April 11

A new student-led, student-run cafe -- the product of a SUNY Oswego business class -- will hold its grand opening celebration in Rich Hall at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11.

Called the Rich N' Pour Cafe, the space represents a boost to student entrepreneurship experiences, a service for those in Rich Hall and beyond, and a campus-community partnership.

Health Services to host GYT event on April 12

SUNY Oswego's Health Services will host a Get Yourself Tested (GYT) event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, at Mary Walker Health Center to encourage students to test for sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

The first 100 students get one free test, with any tests costing $20 thereafter.

Yards for Yeardley event on April 26 to unfold in Swetman Gym

Alumna to discuss experiences of descendants of Holocaust survivors

Annette P. Levine -- a 1995 SUNY Oswego graduate and professor of world languages, literatures and cultures at Ithaca College -- will present a talk titled "They Were a Family: Descendants of Holocaust Survivors and the Inheritance of Intergenerational Trauma" at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, in the Marano Campus Center auditorium (Room 132).
