‘Nuclear Now: Time to Look Again’ to provide movie, discussion on Thursday

"Nuclear Now, Time to Look Again" -- a documentary that explores the history, challenges and opportunities of nuclear power -- will screen at 5 p.m. Thursday, June 22, in the Sheldon Hall ballroom, followed by a panel discussion about nuclear energy in the community.

The movie reveals facts and myths about nuclear energy. It features interviews with scientists, engineers, politicians and environmentalists who share their insights and perspectives on the topic.

When we think of cybersecurity threats and prevention, we often mostly consider things such as computer viruses or unwanted emails but any electronic communication method can be used maliciously. Text messaging to phones is one such example of this.

University to promote Daylight Hour on June 21

SUNY Oswego will again join many SUNY campuses and hundreds of organizations around the world on Wednesday, June 21, in enthusiastically participating in the annual Daylight Hour campaign. 

To support the campaign, which raises awareness of the value of simple daylight to save energy and improve health, members of the college community are asked to switch off lights in day-lit offices, even if in home offices, for one hour at noon on June 21 (or longer if desired).

Students look forward to conducting valuable eclipse-based research

Several SUNY Oswego students will travel to New Mexico this October and in April 2024 to research the upcoming eclipse, thanks to funding received from NASA and the National Science Foundation (NSF).
