SUNY Oswego’s FirstLEAP Committee and members of the First Generation Student Club invite the campus community to a First-Gen Social today from 1:30 to 4 p.m, in Penfield 215. Attendees can come for a few minutes or stay for an hour (or two).
All first-generation students, faculty, staff and supporters are welcome to stop by and enjoy pizza, cookies and games. This aims to be a fun, community-building event in support of Oswego’s significant population of first-generation college students (nearly 30 percent). It will also be an opportunity to meet faculty and staff members, as well as current students, who are (or were) the first in their family to attend college.
Pizza and cookies are being generously provided through a grant from Auxiliary Services.
