Ola Kraszpulska, hometown- Gdansk, Poland, got her BFA in Theatre Production and Design from Marshall University and her MFA in Scenic Design from Florida State University. For the past 3 years, Ola has served as the Design/ Tech Instructor at Earlham College. She is very excited to join the faculty at SUNY Oswego.

This Fund was by established by Benita Zahn '76 to assist a student majoring in Theatre with his/her capstone experience and expenses. To qualify for this award, a student must:
a. Be a full time student majoring in Theatre.
b. Be of junior status at the time of selection
c. Submit a proposal for his/her Theatre senior capstone project

Mission statement

The Theatre Department provides students with the knowledge and skills to prepare for a career in the theatre and its related fields through a combination of academic and production experiences. While serving students in career preparation and enrichment through a diversity of courses and productions the department is also dedicated to enhancing the cultural life of the campus and the larger community.

Our theatre program lets you learn by doing to prepare you for positions within and outside of the industry — including acting, directing, sound, lighting, makeup, costuming and more.

Our program investigates our complex culture from perspectives that include history, political institutions, literature and art. With guidance from your faculty adviser, you can tailor the program to your interests.


Waterman Theatre, home to the mainstage theatre productions, is currently under renovation.  Below is the original 1960's theatre and the artist rendering for our new, state-of-the-art space. Tyler Hall closed for renovation in June 2014 and is scheduled to reopen in fall 2016.
