Lab Theatre Specifications

The Lab Theatre is a 42' x 46' black box with approximately 14' clearance under a pipe grid.

An 8' high, 4' wide gallery level is located on all four walls.

In addition to work/house lights, a 6- dimmer Electro-Controls system is permanently installed on the gallery level.  There is also an ETC Sensor rack with 12 available dimmers.  This is controlled with a LMI 2 scene preset DMX control console.

Waterman Theatre Specifications


Built in 1968, Charlotte Waterman Theatre is located in Tyler Hall and consists of a proscenium stage with continental style seating for 525.

A hydraulic orchestra pit lift provides a curved forestage extending 14' from curtain line at stage center.

Stage deck is 2'- 6" above first row floor.

A fully-equipped scene shop connects to the stage through dual 16' high x 24' wide motorized doors upstage right. Depending on schedule, a portion of the shop area may be available for scenery storage; contact Technical Director for details.

Greg Brewster


Greg returned to SUNY Oswego as the Electronics Specialist in fall '12; having graduated from the department in 2005.

He was on the national tours of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and the 25th Anniversary of Les Miserables

Cole Sostak

Cole comes to us from Nashville, TN where he was an Event Technical Director at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.  (Don't worry he has experienced winter before since he grew up in the beautiful Catskill Mountains.)  Cole has also had the pleasure of working for many years in Regional Theatre, Summer Stock, National Tours, as well as Off-Broadway.  Cole has been a proud member of Actors' Equity Association since 2007.

Judy McCabe

Judy McCabe came to SUNY Oswego as the Costume Shop Supervisor in the fall of 2002. A Midsummer Night's Dream was her first show, under the direction of Mark Cole and she remained a part of a team of collaborating talented professionals and excited students.      
Judy teaches Basic Costume Construction and the practicum sections of a variety theatre courses, Judy additionally co-instructs with Kitty Macey the Advance Costume Construction class.
