A native of central New York, Chris McEvoy is a professor in the Studio Art Program at SUNY Oswego; McEvoy specializes in painting and has extensive experience teaching painting, drawing and studio foundations, which is augmented by over fifteen years of exhibiting. His latest paintings began with the desire to explore interconnectivity and are influenced by the fluid nature of memory, experience and perception.  According to McEvoy his goal is to get the observer to “question whether what he sees is directed by the artist, or directed by the viewer’s own personal set of experiences.”
