Illustration minor
Popular with students across campus, the minor offers practitioners a 24-credit focus in the medium regardless of their primary major. Students can also elect to study illustration in the BA and BFA programs in both studio art and graphic design. For students serious about a career in illustration, the BFA programs offer the opportunity to earn a professional degree that has depth as well as breadth. Some students choose to earn the minor as part of a BA degree that is either in Studio Art/Graphic Design, or in a related field such as Creative Writing. For students in the sciences, a minor in illustration prepares them to go on into graduate programs in scientific and/or medical illustration.
