Heather Holcomb received her PhD from the University of Scranton, MBA degree from American Intercontinental University (AIU) in Illinois, and her BS from SUNY Plattsburgh.  Appointed in 2014, Dr. Holcomb teaches principles of accounting courses and not-for-profit and governmental accounting courses, both at the undergraduate and graduate level. She also teaches financial accounting theory at the graduate level.  She is a Certified Public Accountant with 17 years of experience in public and private accounting.  She was owner and partner from 2001 to 2013 of Losi & Ranger CPA's PLLC. Dr. Holcomb is an active member of NYSSCPA and a member of AICPA and AAA.  Her research interests include accounting education, fraud risk assessment, and data analytics.
