Faculty profile

Vance Marriner is currently the Research Director at Business Journal News Network, a Syracuse-based business news and events company. He earned an M.A. in Advertising from Syracuse University and a B.A. in Communication Studies from SUNY Oswego. Marriner has over two decades of experience in market research and analytics across a wide range of industries, particularly media, higher education, and technology. He has also taught as a part-time instructor of advertising at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. Marriner has been an adjunct instructor at Oswego since 2013, teaching Marketing Principles, Consumer Behavior, and Seminar in Marketing Management.
