Getting published in the New York Times is a dream for many writers. For freshman creative writing major Kayde Knorr, it’s an amazing feat achieved in just the first semester at SUNY Oswego.

SUNY Oswego English major Ruby Ramseyer started working with the Empire State Service Corps -- which pays student for serving their community -- as an Onondaga Community College student.

Albert Abonado –- an award-winning poet, essayist and SUNY Oswego faculty member -- is the next featured guest in the Living Writers Series on Monday, Nov. 10. The event, at 3 p.m. in the Marano Campus Center auditorium (room 132) will include a poetry reading, followed by a Q&A and book signing.

Writer, editor and sensitivity reader Shannon Luders-Manuel will be the next featured guest in SUNY Oswego’s Living Writers Series, appearing virtually at 3 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 27.

Award-winning author and SUNY Oswego professor Soma Mei Sheng Frazier will be the next featured guest in the Living Writers Series at 3 p.m. on Monday, Oct, 13 in the Marano Campus Center auditorium (room 132). The event will include a reading from her novel "Off the Books," followed by a Q&A and book signing. It is free and open to the campus and the community.

Stu Krieger, who wrote the beloved animated classic "The Land Before Time," will appear on campus as part of the Living Writers Series at 3 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 6, in the Marano Campus Center auditorium (Room 132).

SUNY Oswego’s Living Writers Series is excited to return in person this year, kicking off a diverse series of visiting writers with poet Sara Borjas on Sept. 15.

One City. One Campus. One Community. -- a project supported by SUNY Oswego, the City of Oswego Mayor's Office and the joint Campus-City Relations Committee -- unveiled student photojournalism promoting features and connections around the community on May 6 in Oswego's City Hall.
