HeartMath Partnership

Project BLEND is excited to continue a prosperous relationship with The Insitutue of HeartMath. We have partnered together for several years to offer heart-focused education to our Project BLEND Scholars, and continue to strengthen our relationship. This year, while working with Dr. David Parisian, our HeartMath consultant, we have expanded to include longitudinal research and inquiry in to the retention of heart-focused practices, as well as a bi-weekly news letter to enhance the quality of the specialized training the HeartMath Institute offers for future administrators.

About Us

Since its inception in July 2009, when SUNY Oswego received its initial award from NYSED, Project BLEND has devoted resources to developing a cohesive educational leadership system in New York State. We have consistently demonstrated our commitment to preparing tomorrow's school leaders for success in high-need school buildings and districts. We provide high quality research-based program elements and a rigorous, authentic clinical internship within our registered pre-service Certificate of Advanced study in Educational Leadership.

Project BLEND

Project BLEND is one of six TLQP (Teacher Leader Quality Partnerships) initiatives funded by the New York State Education Department. It has evolved to become a highly respected tuition assistance scholarship program offered to aspiring leaders who are primarily tenured instructors in CNY’s high-need buildings and districts. Awarded recipients are nominated by administrators from our partner school districts in Onondaga and Oswego County.
