Students invited to connect with alumni through new and improved ASK Program

Since the beginning of the Alumni Sharing Knowledge (ASK) Program close to three decades ago, thousands of students and recent graduates have had the opportunity to connect with alumni from a diverse range of industries for career advice and mentorship.

The Oswego Alumni Association is excited to announce the expansion of the ASK program to now also offer the opportunity for students to make connections with alumni based on identity points, interests, backgrounds and shared experiences both at Oswego and beyond.

CSTEP to provide strong support to underrepresented students in STEM, professional fields

SUNY Oswego recently secured a five-year grant from the New York State Department of Education to support the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP), which offers a range of strong support for underrepresented and/or economically disadvantaged students entering STEM or professional licensure fields.

Alumnus to lead Virtual Cooking Session on Tuesday

The Oswego Alumni Association is presenting a free virtual cooking session, featuring 2008 alumnus Lee Candela, at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22.

Candela, the executive sous chef of North Hempstead Country Club in Port Washington, will lead online attendees through the preparation of an Oktoberfest-inspired dish.

Laker Itinerary to emphasize opportunities to connect, learn

Beginning Monday, Sept. 21, Oswego Today will focus on exciting, engaging and connection-building virtual events available to the campus community.

The Laker Itinerary will feature a range of interactive activities, learning opportunities, networking events and more. With less in-person events on campus, this initiative represents a way to better allow students and others to discover the variety of virtual opportunities for connection, growth and future preparation.
