Library seeks scholarly and creative works for Display to Archives collection

New hours for campus credit union begin this week

Beginning Wednesday, Nov. 3, Compass Federal Credit Union’s SUNY Oswego location inside Marano Campus Center will move to one day of weekly operation, with hours every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This shift in hours is an effort to help maximize Compass staffing moving forward. Any future updates in hours of operation will be posted to the Compass Federal Credit Union website.

Ensemble Decipher to present new student and faculty compositions on Nov. 11

The collaboration of SUNY Oswego faculty member Paul Leary and three Oswego students with experimental music group Ensemble Decipher will result in the debut of their new compositions in an admission-free concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, in Room 46 of Tyler Hall.

SEFA, UP join forces for No-Shave November fundraising

SUNY Oswego's State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) campaign is partnering with University Police to host No-Shave November fundraising to support men's health initiatives.

No-Shave November began as a way to raise funds and awareness for such ailments as testicular and prostate cancers. This national fundraiser has grown such that participants now ask friends and family to donate to sponsor their efforts. The college’s University Police department typically raises several hundred dollars and is a top institutional participant.

SUNY Oswego campus community members are invited to perform in the State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) campaign’s inaugural Talent Showcase, 4:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, at Curtis Manor in Oswego.

1861 Giving Challenges raise more than $300K

A green front swept across the country for 1,861 minutes on Sept. 30 through Oct. 1 and resulted in $303,925.41 raised for SUNY Oswego.

A total of 1,543 donors made gifts during the 1861 Giving Challenge, held in conjunction with Founder’s Weekend, and as they did, they turned their home state from white to green on a map tracking progress.

Laker family members nearly doubled the original goal of 861 donors, helping to secure the $50,000 challenge gift of Al Roker ’76.
