Women's club soccer to host Senior Game on Sunday

On Sunday, Oct. 1, the SUNY Oswego women’s club soccer team will host Cortland on the Laker Turf Stadium at 11 a.m.

This is their final home game of the season and will also be their Senior Game.

Green and Gold Day campus photo and celebration set Friday

All Laker students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to gather at 12:45 p.m. for a 1 p.m. photo this Friday, Sept. 29, in celebration of Green and Gold Day.

Wear your green and/or gold and meet at the brick circle on the academic quad for a group picture, followed by free green and gold cookies and lemonade in the Marano Campus Center food and activity court in celebration of Edward Austin Sheldon's 200th birthday. (The rain location for the photo is the Deborah F. Stanley Arena and Convocation Hall in Marano Campus Center.)

Sheldon presentation opens third annual Founder's Weekend

All Laker students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited this Friday, Sept. 29, at 10 a.m. in 133 Marano Campus Center for a special presentation, "Honoring Our Founder: The Life and Legacy of Edward Austin Sheldon," led by Sheldon scholar, Syracuse City School District high school teacher and SUNY Oswego adjunct professor Don Little '91 M'94 M'15.

Save the Date: 1861 Giving Challenge taking place Oct. 4

The campus community is invited to save the date to participate in the university's 1861 Giving Challenge.

It will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 4 — one week from today — and the effort needs your help.

Dr. Thomas Mahl ’80 will donate $60,000 to Oswego if 861 people make a gift in 1,861 minutes. The challenge clock begins at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4 (the 200th birthday of Edward Austin Sheldon), and runs until 3:01 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5.

Summer Studio Art Program immerses students in Madrid

The SUNY Madrid Summer Studio Art Program, first offered this summer, allows SUNY Oswego art students to immerse themselves in the art culture of Madrid while earning credit toward their degrees.

ASAP session to discuss helpful resources of OLS, Penfield Library

The Adult Student Assistance Program (ASAP) will sponsor an online session tonight (Wednesday, Sept. 27) at 7 p.m. for those looking to learn more about the university's Office of Learning Services (OLS) and Penfield Library.

These are two helpful resources on campus and available online, and this session will let students know the best way to take advantage of all OLS and the library have to offer. The session will include opportunities to connect with staff who can help.

Oswego Reading Initiative author to speak on campus Sept. 25
