Off-campus access to some CTS services unavailable Wednesday due to server upgrade

On Wednesday, Oct. 4, from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m., Campus Technology Services (CTS) will perform an upgrade to the VPN (virtual private network) service. During this time, some technology services will be unavailable for employees and student employees.

VPN is commonly used to connect to on-campus services while off-campus. These services include but are not limited to:

1861 Giving Challenge presents opportunity to unlock $60K

The 1861 Giving Challenge started at 8 a.m. today -- on university founder Edward Austin Sheldon's 200th birthday. Dr. Tom Mahl ’80 is challenging the entire Oswego community to help students by making a gift to The Fund for Oswego. If 861 people make a gift in 1,861 minutes, he will give the university $60,000!

Given this challenge, making a gift today would go even further. You can make your gift online, by calling the University Advancement Office at 315-312-3003 or dropping your gift off at 215 Sheldon Hall.

Faculty and staff invited to drop-in meetings today with President Nwosu

SUNY Oswego President Peter O. Nwosu will host a faculty and staff drop-in hour today, Tuesday, Oct. 3, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Marano Campus Center Chu Atrium. All faculty and staff are invited to stop by and meet with President Nwosu during these in-person drop-ins, which are planned to be held periodically throughout the semester.
