All students are invited to attend Narcan training on Wednesday, March 6, on Zoom from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

This training is presented by a New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports opioid overdose training specialist. It is specially designed for SUNY Oswego students.

Google will be changing the appearance of the login page used for accessing SUNY Oswego’s LakerApps suite of apps including Gmail. While Google does not specify an exact date when SUNY Oswego will see this change, it will be rolled out sometime this week with the latest date being March 4.

To alert users, Google started posting a message at the top of the current login page announcing that a new more modern look and feel is coming soon. 

On Sunday, Feb. 25, from 6:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., Campus Technology Services (CTS) will perform maintenance affecting access to the Banner application. Banner and links to Banner in myOswego will be intermittently unavailable during this time.

CTS Cyberbits is a monthly column on cybersecurity that contains information on how to protect yourself online and new emerging threats to be aware of. This month’s edition will cover employment scams.

TPUSA at Oswego announced plans to honor Black History Month through an exclusive screening event featuring "Created Equal by Clarence Thomas: In His Own Words" from 7 to 9 p.m. on Feb. 29 in Marano Campus Center Room 211.

It's the final call to the campus for suggestions for renaming The Space: If you’d like to submit a renaming suggestion electronically, please complete this Google form by Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024.

The Oswego Alumni Association is now accepting nominations for the 2024 Outstanding Senior Award. This honor recognizes a senior student for their exceptional involvement on campus and academic excellence during their time at SUNY Oswego.

All students graduating in May, August or December of 2024 are eligible to apply.

The deadline to nominate is Monday, March 11. To submit a nomination, please visit alumni.oswego.edu/osa24.

Members of the campus community are invited to submit artwork for consideration for “Looking Up,” a special exhibition running April 4 to 10 in Tyler Hall’s second-floor corner art gallery around the total solar eclipse on April 8.

The deadline for submissions is March 25, with both 2D & 3D work accepted. No fee is required to submit. 

On Friday, Feb. 23, Campus Recreation will host a pair of unique events in a bench press competition and glow dodgeball.

The bench press competition will begin at 4 p.m. in Marano Campus Center's Swetman Gym. The campus is invited to try to hit their personal bests and cheer on their peers in this friendly competition. The winners of each weight class (men's and women's divisions) will receive medals.

SUNY Oswego's University Police is participating in the Saint Baldrick's fundraiser for Kids with Cancer where all funds raised go to cancer research. If the department reaches its goal by March 24, Officer Kevin Ermann will shave his head in solidarity.
