SUNY Oswego has announced that all classes at both the Oswego and Syracuse campuses will be taught remotely on Thursday, Jan. 29.

After a thorough weather review, the university will shift face-to-face and hybrid classes to remote instruction as directed by your faculty member. Online courses will proceed as scheduled.

Additional updates: Auxiliary Services and Dining Services are adjusting hours and offerings. Penfield Library will be closed.

As inclement weather continues to affect our region, we remain committed to ensuring the continued operation of essential campus services while prioritizing the safety and well-being of our community. While instructional modalities have shifted, we recognize the importance of maintaining critical functions.

Staff members are encouraged to consult with their supervisors to assess departmental needs and determine whether responsibilities can be fulfilled remotely. Supervisors should carefully consider both operational requirements and potential travel risks when making these decisions. If you are unable to report to work or work remotely, you may need to utilize your leave accruals.

Your safety is our highest priority. If you must travel, please exercise caution and allow extra time for your commute. We appreciate your flexibility and commitment during this time.
