Curriculum and Instruction Field Experience

Candidates are expected to attend their placement every week during the semester. Block I and II candidates must attend their placement for 2.5 to 3 hours weekly. For Block III candidates, time spent in the classroom can vary from 1.5 to 3 full days per week depending on the program that you are in. Make sure you have a clear understanding of the program requirements before heading into Block III.

Registration and Sign-up Days

Curriculum and Instruction field experience candidates must register for the field experience through myOswego the same way you register for all classes. After registering, you must attend one of our Sign-up Days to fill out a Tk20 application, at the end of the semester prior to each placement.

Fall 2022

Dates have been scheduled for in-person sign-ups as follows:

For anyone who did not attend the Spring 2022 sign-ups, it will be your responsibility to come to the Clinical Practice and Partnerships Office, located at 175 Wilber Hall, to complete the necessary paperwork for a placement.

Please allow at least 15 minutes on one of these dates to complete your Tk20 application; you should not skip or miss any class time.

Note: You must be registered through MyOswego for the appropriate and aligned courses, and you must allow a 4-hour block of time in your schedule for placements to occur.
