Two-Factor Authentication Enrollment Drawing Campus Technology Services is hosting the “Go for 2! Enrollment Drawing,” as part of National Cyber Security Awareness Month in October.

Our goal is to encourage the use of an additional email security feature called two-factor authentication amongst the campus community. Two-factor authentication is a security mechanism that can help protect your online accounts. With two-factor authentication, hackers need more than just a password to access your account. Google calls it 2-Step Verification, but it is the same thing, and it is available to secure your LakerApps account. Everyone that enables two-factor authentication for their LakerApps account from October 1 – 30 will be entered in a drawing for Amazon Gift Cards. All faculty, staff and students are encouraged to enroll.

Please visit the CTS Two Factor Authentication webpage (https://www.oswego.edu/cts/two-factor-authentication) to learn more about what two factor authentication is, how it works, why it’s important, and how to enable it for your LakerApps account.

The contest will run from October 1st through October 30th. Winners will be selected on Halloween. The first place winner will receive a $50 gift card, 2nd place will win a $25 gift card and third place will be awarded a $10 gift card. Fine print - CTS employees are not eligible. One winning draw per contestant. New enrollees only, one entry per person.
