Cybersecurity Pledge

As a community member, I pledge to:

1. Keep my passwords safe, and avoid reusing them for different accounts.
2. Use two-factor authentication everywhere it is offered.
3. Keep the operating system and applications on my computer and my mobile devices up to date.
4. Safeguard computers with updated anti-virus software, a firewall, and secure usage habits.
5. Safeguard SUNY data as well as my own personal data.
6. Think before I click, especially with attachments and links.
7. Use caution when dealing with email and other forms of electronic communication.
8. Treat my mobile devices like a computer, but remember that they need additional protections.
9. Report suspected security concerns immediately.
10. Help promote cybersecurity awareness within the SUNY community.
