Can We Talk about Race? How Black Lives Matter
The aims for the discussion sessions are (1) to work toward more nuanced understandings of black people and lives, (2) to think about how racism and, to an extent, antiracism impedes understandings of black lives, and (3) using Tatum's book and materials in the Google doc, to think about ways to infuse productive work about race in our syllabi in the fall. All meetings of this group will take place between 10:00 and 11:30 on Mondays for 5 consecutive weeks. All sessions can be accessed here.
