Second Life and Higher Education

John Kane will lead a discussion examining how Second Life may be used to help create memorable and meaningful learning experiences for students in a wide variety of disciplinary areas. Faculty and staff may participate in person or may participate from within Second Life. For those attending in Second Life, we will begin the presentation at the new CELT building that is being constructed by Elaine Evarts. a student at SUNY Oswego. C. Hirsch has worked with between four and six undergraduate TAs for the past 4 years in the large lecture COM 100 course.  This workshop will feature lessons learned; pros and cons of working with undergraduate TAs; some basic suggestions for large lecture classroom management; and finally Five Reasons to work with Undergraduate TAs.
