In How People Learn, John Bransford et al. argue that expert teachers "know the conceptual barriers that are likely to hinder learning, so they watch for these tell-tale signs of students' misconceptions." I will discuss how Web 2.0 can foster effective learning by revealing more of these tell-tale signs, not only to the teacher, but to the learner as well.
