The NSF S-STEM program provides scholarships and close mentoring during the first two years of a student's STEM major at SUNY Oswego. As part of the mentoring process, students are made aware of the numerous opportunities available for their academic support and growth.  These grant recipients participate in a Math and Chemistry Bridge Camp providing them with an advantage when faced with challenging material as new college students.  S-STEM students are encouraged as early as the summer after their freshman year to take part in cutting-edge research opportunities both at Oswego and abroad.
