The New York State Broadcasters Association (NYSBA) presented four awards to SUNY Oswego broadcasting students honoring top-tier work in television, radio and digital storytelling.

This summer, SUNY Oswego and WCNY, with the support of the Syracuse City School District (SCSD) and Central New York Community Foundation, will offer the first-ever "Visual Storytelling Summer Camp." The free camp is open for applications from middle-school students in the region.

SUNY Oswego’s Theatre Department will produce “Romeo and Juliet” for the first time in 30 years – and director Steven Mazzoccone, cast and crew are focusing on making this piece appealing and accessible to a wide audience.

SUNY Oswego professor Eric Schmitz composed a CD with his brother and father, titled “ACE Composers Ⅱ,” which also features work fellow music faculty members Rob Auler and Daniel Wood.

The Symphoria Woodwind Quintet will perform a concert of classic music as the next installment in the Ke-Nekt Chamber Music Series at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, in the Sheldon Hall ballroom.

Serenity Sutherland, a SUNY Oswego assistant professor of communication studies, will host a virtual launch this week for a project called “Visualizing Women in Science” at the American Philosophical Society, where she was a key collaborator.

The award-winning Saakumu Dance Troupe from Ghana will share a repertoire reflecting traditional and contemporary cultures at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, in SUNY Oswego’s Waterman Theatre.

The last time SUNY Oswego’s Music Department presented “Collage,” its annual fundraising concert, was March 2020 – just before the pandemic changed everything. But the popular music highlight makes its comeback with a free performance at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 3, in Tyler Hall’s Waterman Theatre.
