Kristen C. Eichhorn, dean of graduate studies at SUNY Oswego, recently co-edited the third edition of a respected textbook, Routledge's "An Integrated Approach to Communication Theory and Research," and now is poised to take over as lead editor for the fourth edition.

Damian Schofield, director of SUNY Oswego's graduate program in human-computer interaction (HCI), has earned the 2019 President's Award for Scholarly and Creative Activity at the college, while composer Paul Leary of the music department received the Provost's Award for Scholarly and Creative Activity.

Fehmi Damkaci, professor and chair of SUNY Oswego's chemistry department and founder and director of the GENIUS Olympiad environmental competition in Oswego for high school students from scores of countries around the world for nearly nine years, has earned the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Faculty Service.

Illustration-rich artwork to fill new gallery for graduate exhibitions

Graduate students Asli Kinsizer and Yarbrielle Ingram soon will display portfolio work created during their graphic design studies at SUNY Oswego --- from Kinsizer's women of historical stature to Ingram's fantastical illustrations from reimagined fairytales -- in their spring Master of Arts exhibitions in a new gallery in Tyler Hall.

Student's community mandala invites public participation

Asli Kinsizer first made a trip from her native Turkey to SUNY Oswego as a mentor to high school students competing in the GENIUS Olympiad. Less than four years later, she is a graduate student at the college, considers Oswego home and is excitedly awaiting public participation in finishing her mandala in Penfield Library.
