SUNY Oswego to host Financial Aid Days on main and Syracuse campuses

SUNY Oswego will host two Financial Aid Days workshops – from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 25, in 206 Marano Campus Center on its lakeside campus, and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 8, in Suite 115 of the Atrium on its downtown Syracuse campus on Clinton Square.

Generative AI course launches for public relations and communication students

This spring 2025, public relations professor Khairul Islam is set to launch a new course titled “Generative AI in Public Relations.” This course aims to bridge a critical skills gap in the industry, equipping students with the knowledge and tools necessary for the evolving landscape of AI-driven public relations practices, he said.

Banner migration occurring Jan. 18-19

During the weekend of Jan. 18 to 19, Campus Technology Services (CTS) will migrate the Banner student information system to a new off-campus hosting solution managed by SUNY Information Technology Exchange Center (ITEC).

This move will help the university maintain high security standards while making the best use of on-campus resources. It will also allow the university to adapt to future technology changes easily.
