The Oswego ACE (Advancing Completion through Engagement) team attended the SUNY ASAP|ACE Student Success Summit, June 16 to 17, at SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica, an event dedicated to advancing student retention and completion rates across the SUNY system.

This summit brought together campus professionals as well as national leaders and experts to share insights, strategies, and best practices that enhance retention, completion, and overall student success.

ACE at SUNY Oswego is a comprehensive program designed to help students complete their academic journey to a bachelor’s degree. ACE provides a range of financial, academic and personal support, including intensive academic advisement and career counseling, and financial literacy mentoring. Oswego will expand its ACE cohort for fall 2025, enrolling 375 students total, remaining a top campus for this program.

Together with the Advancing Success in Associate Pathways (ASAP) program for community colleges, this initiative expects to serve more than 7,000 students at 34 SUNY campuses in fall 2025.

“ASAP|ACE’s evidence-based practices are working on our campuses to ensure students from all backgrounds are able to thrive, complete their degree, and pursue their dreams,” Chancellor John B. King Jr. said at the summit. “My thanks to Governor Kathy Hochul and the State Legislature for investing in a completion model that works, and to leaders from across SUNY campuses and the country for coming together to discuss ways we can do even more to advance the success of our students.”
