Writing Fellows program offers support to faculty and staff

Writing Fellows are experienced teachers of academic writing who support SUNY Oswego’s Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) initiative.

WAC is designed to ensure that students have frequent opportunities to write and revise in their classes from their first year to graduation. The Writing Fellows program was established to help enhance the culture of writing on campus and assist instructors in courses that feature written work in a variety of ways.

'Native New York' exhibition to open Tyler Art Gallery season

"Native New York,” featuring 50 contemporary artworks by Haudenosaunee artists from the Six Nations in what is now New York, will open the season on Oct. 8 for SUNY Oswego’s Tyler Art Gallery.

Alumnus to lead 'Behind the Scenes of the TCS New York City Marathon' webinar

Join 1997 Oswego alumnus Ted Metellus, race director of the TCS New York City Marathon and vice president of events for New York Road Runners, discussing what goes behind this well-known event, as well as his own journey to the position, at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 22.

Metellus leads and oversees all event development and production for New York Road Runners. In February 2021, he was named the race director of the TCS New York City Marathon, the first-ever Black race director of an Abbott World Marathon Majors race.
