Kayla Holley elected PRSSA national vice president of professional development

SUNY Oswego senior Kayla Holley is charting new territory as the national vice president of professional development at Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). A double major in public relations and business administration, Holley is the first Oswego student to attain a national position in the 20-year history of the college’s chapter of the student arm of the Public Relations Society of America.

Proof of vaccine

Mandatory weekly surveillance testing will continue to be required for any person who has a physical presence on campus and who has not been fully vaccinated, or who has not shown proof of vaccination. Fully vaccinated employees are exempt from mandatory weekly testing upon the submission of documentation that shows completion of a full vaccination series. (You are fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving the second dose or two weeks after receiving a single dose vaccine.)  

Oswego Guardian safety app available

Members of the campus community are reminded of the availability of the Oswego Guardian/Rave Guardian app, which can turn a smartphone into a personal safety device.

HR update: Contract letters will arrive via Hirezon/Interview Exchange

July 12, 2021

Human Resources is pleased to announce that effective immediately all contract letters will be sent to employees electronically through Hirezon/Interview Exchange.

The employee will be able to review their contract letter, electronically sign and submit to the Office of Human Resources. All individuals who have been cc’d on contract letters through email in the past will still have access to the contract letters through the guest feature section in Hirezon/Interview Exchange for your records.

Parking permits for 2021-22 now available

Parking permits for the upcoming 2021-2022 academic year are now available. Permits can be ordered online by visiting the Parking Portal website.

Lifelong Learning program offers summer courses online

July 9, 2021

SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations will present three Lifelong Learning program courses virtually Aug. 2 to 5 and Aug. 9 to 12 for adults age 50 and over.

Summer 2021 course offerings include "A Total Solar Eclipse Comes to Oswego, April 2024," "Birding with Rice Creek" and "Stargazing in August 2021."

Course registration fees are $15 each. Morning and afternoon sessions are available. The sessions will take place via the Zoom online platform.

Wendy McManus named athletics director at SUNY Oswego

SUNY Oswego has hired Wendy McManus as its new director of intercollegiate athletics. She will begin her post leading the Lakers on August 1, 2021.
