Institutional Accreditation

SUNY Oswego is an accredited institution and a member of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) SUNY Oswego’s accreditation status is Accreditation Reaffirmed.  The Commission’s most recent action on the institution’s accreditation status on November 16, 2017 was to reaffirm accreditation.  The next evaluation visit is scheduled for 2021-22.  MSCHE is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).  See MSCHE Statement of Accreditation Status page for full details
