The New York State Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government (COELIG) oversees ethics within New York State Agencies, including SUNY State-operated campuses. There are many compliance mandates and COELIG is the body charged with overseeing the administration of those mandates. All SUNY employees should understand the ethics laws that apply to them, and the potential outside activities and conflicts of interest that they may have to disclose to their employer and manage appropriately in accordance with the laws.
