Retirement Provider Virtual Meetings and Contacting Your Retirement System

Just a friendly reminder that all of our retirement systems are still conducting meetings virtually. You can request a virtual meeting or phone consolation with your provider. Please see the instructions below regarding how to contact your provider and schedule a meeting. If you already had a meeting scheduled, the provider should have reached out to you directly to make accommodations to meet virtually.

Optional Retirement Program (ORP) and the Supplemental Retirement Program (403(b))

If you are currently in the Optional Retirement Program through either TIAA, AIG, VOYA, or Fidelity please click this link to see how to contact your vendor.

Employees’ Retirement System (ERS)

The best way to conduct business with ERS is through their Retirement Online.  If you have never visited their website before, please click the ‘register now’ button found on the previous link.  If you would like to sign up for a phone consolation or you have any retirement related question you can contact ERS at 1-866-805-0990 or you can email them by using their secure contact form

Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS)

TRS is urging their members to use the self-service tools and secure messaging function available through their online MyNYSTRS account.  If you don’t have a MyNYSTRS online account, they strongly urge you to register for one prior to your telephone consultation. You will need to enter the last four digits of your Social Security number and your NYSTRS EmplID. Their phone lines do remain open at (800) 348-7298 to answer questions and if you need to book a benefit consultation, you may do so by phone or through your online account. They have also recorded and posted their PREP seminar modules on NYSTRS benefits, so you can view them at your convenience.

If you have any questions please contact the Office of Human Resources at 315-312-2230 or hr@oswego.edu.

Please visit the HR announcements page for the most up-to-date information from the Human Resources and Payroll Offices.
