Technology Education Field Experience
Field experiences take place after the regular semester ends, during a three-week time frame at the start of winter or summer break. It is preferred that the candidate completes the 35-hours during five consecutive days.
Registration and Orientation
Technology Education field experience candidates must register for their field experience through myOswego the same way you register for all classes.
All technology education candidates must sign up for field experiences by the third week of classes each semester while taking the following courses:

Field Experience II Middle School During TED 206, also register for TED 216 (Field Experience II) |
Field Experience III High School During TED 306, also register for TED 316 (Field Experience III) |

Fall 2024
December 16, 2024 through January 24, 2025*
Spring 2025
May 20, 2025 through June 7, 2025*

Tk20 Applications
Both the Field Experience and Student Teaching applications will generally become available and close on the dates listed below. For those going into Field Experience III, your Student Teaching Application for the following semester will be included in the same application.

Orientation
A Clinical Practice and Partnerships Office team member will conduct an orientation at the beginning of each semester. In the Fall, the orientation will occur in September, and in the Spring semester, the orientation will occur in February. Candidates will receive additional information during the courses listed above.
